I’m alright but
I have to tell my daughter
She’s the one who
sees it everyday

I ain’t crying
but I have to comfort my daughter
She seems to be feeling
the pain of mine

While I’m thinking
how to explain to my daughter
why nothing
will be the same from now on
another failure
of the mother
given the child another lesson
in being strong

I’ll might be alone but
I have to show my daughter
that it’s nothing
that’s scaring me

She seems so confused
of the new face of her mother

she must always trust in me
