Even the air seems clearer
after the stom has gone
echoes of words of anger
hang in the icy calm

now i'm left in this cold apartment
living with ghosts of love all gone wrong

you never said it's easy
something we'd have to learn
all of your friends they always

i just feel such relief it's over
but if it's the way to go
then how come

close mt eye and still the pictures come

and i suddenl wonder
what have we done?

lost all communication
somewhere along the way
bitter recriminations
in the hard words we say

we both knew we could stop the heartache
better by far to go our own ways
